100 Blog Posts Milestone!

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. A single blog post on 5th of Jan 2009 was what set this blog in motion. I set out on a self discovery journey, with the aim of freeing myself from negative energy and to inspire my friends in the process.

The last four months have been an exciting journey for me. I have learned so much about the power of positive thinking and shared most of what I have learned. When you share something, it comes back to you, in good measure, pressed and well shaken.

Inspiring Friends

I genuinely care about my friends and the new friends I have made on this blog. The purpose of this blog, as you probably have heard me say before, is to inspire you to be the best you can be. We are still a long way from reaching the pinnacle of this blog, but so far so good.

Friends, who have posted comments on this blog, sent me encouraging emails and Facebook messages have been my inspiration to continue. Inspiring friends was something I did on and off over the years. But this year, I decided to take it online and have been making a post on this blog almost daily; I have been able to reach out to more people.

21,261 unique people from 86 countries have been able to read this blog in the last four months. They have collectively spent more than 2,500 hours on this site. I truly hope that that time has been well spent and has made a positive impact in their lives. I hope the time you have spent on this blog has been worth it and has made a contribution to your life.

The blog has attracted more 1,198 comments at the time of writing this post. I would like to thank the people who have posted comments and encouraging messages. A community of regulars has evolved, and I will continue to foster it.

If you have not posted a comment, please do and let me know what you think of my work, and connect with other readers. Eventually I will build a virtual community around the blog for friends to inspire each other.

Personal Growth

My biggest lesson since launching this blog is that it is not the big ideas that we have that make the difference. It is not the desire to become better that makes us better. It is the small regular steps that we take that make all the difference. It is our habits that determine our destiny.

Do you find yourself dreaming up what could be if only this or that worked out in your life? I was in that situation not long ago. But slowly, I am transforming from a talker to a doer. It does not happen overnight but the journey has started.

I would like to encourage you to join me on this journey of personal growth. Personal growth does not happen overnight, it is the small steps that you take, such as reading inspiring blogs that eventually help you put the pieces together. Eventually you will be able to connect the dots if you keep hearing positive messages.

Secret Weapon

Soon after launching this blog, I met a secret weapon that has been instrumental to the success of this blog and has kept me on my toes. My secret weapon has assured me that I have no option but to keep inspiring people and bring joy to their lives; through inspiring positive messages.

Blog Series

In January and early February 2009, my mind was racing with ideas of what I wanted to go onto this blog. I filled notepads with blog topics ideas. My list of topics ranged from business to health, relationships to money, and from emotions to careers.

I realized that I had to have a better way of organizing information and present it to you in a meaningful way. A month or so after launching the blog, I decided to organize my ideas in series. This h as helped me plan up to 3 years in advance how I will present my ideas to you. This is the progress so far:

The Road Ahead

I have made a living on the internet for the last 7 years. However, it is a different ball game when you use your real name. I was thriving on being anonymous. I could launch hundreds of websites and if they were not profitable I would move on and nobody would ever know.

But with this blog, I am giving my readers the real me. My regular readers include my family and closest friends and acquaintances. Some think I give out too much personal information or too many gems of wisdom gained through years of struggle.

It is true I have shared very private details about my life on this blog. My reason for sharing my stories is for people to make inferences to their own life. It is for you to draw parallels with your own life and hopefully be more inspired than you would if you read a textbook.

I will continue sharing more of me in the months ahead. I will continue sharing more of me with my readers in the years ahead. It is for a good cause, I tell myself. It has been fun writing on this blog and connecting with my friends and making new friends.

The future of this blog is bright. It will grow using the very same lessons that I have been teaching you. For example I have used the power of focus, the power of commitment, and kaizen (baby steps).

I have been teaching people about the power of taking action, time management, seeking specialized knowledge etc. My plan is to use all the lessons on this blog to grow it so that it can reach more people.

So far I have been posting almost daily. I promised my readers 300 blog posts this year, and I intend to keep that promise to you. Stay tuned my friend, 200 new blog posts are coming to a computer near you this year.

What is in it for you?

Are you a positive thinker? Do you want to have a better life? Do you want to make positive change in your business, career, family, relationship, health or emotions? Then you are in the right place. This blog will continue inspiring you to take control of your life, to leave courageously and succeed more in your endeavors.

A daily dose of this blog will be an added ingredient in your success equation. If you are new to this blog, please read through the old articles. Go through them month by month starting in January 2009 to get a firm grounding of the how this blog has grown and the direction it will take.

As I said earlier, I am in the process of creating a community area for blog members to connect with each other, share inspiring stories and make new friends. I hope you will be part of that community.
