A Beautiful Mind – (Not the Movie)
The mind is the faculty of reason. The mind helps control ourselves, our emotions, our desires and our actions. A beautiful mind is sharp, brilliant and better able to help us navigate through the challenges of life.
Many people spend more time at the gym or beauty parlors, than in taking care of their mind. To succeed in life, you and I need to have beautiful minds. A beautiful mind does not just happen, it has to be made that way, through training and practice.
Thank you for joining me on this brand new mind series. This series is about how to make our mind beautiful and conditioned for success. I hope to inspire you to also seek to have a beautiful mind, to help you be the best you can be.
A Beautiful Mind – The Movie

A Beautiful Mind - Movie
This blog post has nothing to do with “A Beautiful Mind”, the movie, but because I pinched the title from that movie, let me do it justice and give it a quick review. I love that movie by the way.
A Beautiful Mind is a 2001 American film based on the life of John Forbes Nash, a Nobel Laureate in Economics. It won four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay.
The movie is about the beautiful mind of John Forbes Nash, Jr. with Australian Russell Crowe playing Nash.
John Nash is an American mathematician and economist whose works in game theory, differential geometry, and partial differential equations provided insight into the forces that govern chance and events inside complex systems in daily life.
You need a beautiful mind to understand the above paragraph. haha.
Why have a Beautiful Mind?
Success or failure is all in the mind. Your level of success will be determined by how you condition your mind.
If you develop your ability to reason, see life from different perspectives, think positively etc, you will be better suited for success. Your mind helps you control your luck and prospects in life. Your mind helps you control your emotions and actions. A beautiful mind leads to success.
What is a Beautiful Mind?
A beautiful mind is one that gets results. A beautiful mind is a mind that has been shaped, exercised, treated and taken care of.

Usher - Six Pack
Think about physical beauty for a moment. Some people are born beautiful, others acquire it. Some acquire it through surgery, others by exercise or beauty therapy. People sometimes realize that their current look does not do them justice in say, getting a date.
They then spend a lot of time and money trying to correct the situation. I know of men who hit the gym everyday, not for health reasons but to get an Usher Six Pack. I know of ladies who spend a fortune on beauty products, spend a lot of time in front of the mirror or at beauty parlors. The results sometimes are amazing. An average looking person can be transformed to a glamor model within a month.
It is possible to have a beautiful mind by feeding the brain with the right kind of material, training it and taking care of it. Physical beauty fades but mental beauty becomes more beautiful with age. The more you spend time sharpening the brain, the more beautiful it becomes. A beautiful mind is a life time investment. It makes you powerful, it makes you better able to succeed in many areas of endeavor.
In this series , we shall look at specific ways of improving the mind, including concentration, creativity, positive thinking, relaxing the mind, mind maps and various aids to thinking. A beautiful mind can be made, regardless of your circumstances.
A Beautiful Mind & Success
If you can imagine success in your mind then you will get it. A beautiful mind helps in seeing opportunities where others see danger. A beautiful mind helps in thinking outside the box. A beautiful mind is disciplined and persistent. A beautiful mind does not expect overnight riches but works with a plan for success.
Summary
To succeed in life, we need to improve our minds, by learning from others and by all means neccessary. A beautiful mind is vital for success. We shall look at different ways of having a beautiful mind over the next few days.

Little men with little minds and little imaginations go through life in little ruts, smugly resisting all changes which would jar their little worlds.

Hi Daniel, as a woman of mature years I decided one day to come to Kenya to give myself a new challenge, mentally and physically. I volunteer with street kids. It made me alive, every sense tingling with expectation that was rewarded by day and by minute with life experiences. I have now been here on and off for two and a half years, my grown family are still in the UK. I still want more challenges and hunger for every new experience. A bit like being a body builder who is addicted on the rush of looking and feeling good. I consider myself now to be far more beautiful than I have ever been, I react with enthusiasm like a child to things that please me, cry when things upset me, smile like a looney when happy. I heard somewhere – keep the child within you alive, it works. too many of us get lost along the way, become stayed and emotional islands. I have been told I shine – you know what ‘I think I do’!

The mind is capable of amazing abilities, but it has to be enhanced. A brilliantly mathematical brain would lose its power if it was not used. We can help our kids, or the kids around us develop great minds, by reading to them, encouraging them to read and engage in creative activities, art, music, craft and so on. A big mistake that we make when we are ‘grown up’ is to stop reading and doing fun creative things. It is understandable that there are time constraints around careers and family, but if we value our minds, we will do the best we can.
Thanks Daniel.

Our minds, like our life’s habits, are toned, conditioned and tended during the first 10 years of our lives. We are like sponges and soak up all that is around us, what we see, what we hear, how we are treated and what we read. So, for all of you who either have or plan to have children, remember to feed their minds on the most positive of dreams, so that they may aspire to be kind to others, to be fair to others, to be honest to others and to engender the same FROM others. To achieve this great place in our own minds we need to have experienced love, security and plenty of encouragement from our own families. Add to this an education and we are equipped to walk this earth as a truly beautiful person.

The mind is a funny thing.
Just as one takes care of one’s body one should also be careful of what goes into the mind. For what goes in comes out.Could be as you speak, sleep talk, when you are absent minded or for those who have fainted, they would tell you they spoke of the first thing that came into mind.
Investing in the mind,is like a virtue. No one can even take it from you.
Some say words are thoughts with wings, a man is what he thinketh of himself.
The funny thing about the mind, its the hardest part to rectify and takes the longest time. You can rectify your words, you can rectify your actions but until those two are cultivated within an individual that is when the mind follows (Ian Clarke)Brendafied version.
Why have a beautiful mind? I believe the question should be How do you compete with a person of character and beautiful mind?
