...what can i say... you said what we were all afraid or ignorant to accept.... success/difference can only be achieved by DOING THINGS DIFFERENTLY... i like it... now lets apply it..."If you do not want to conform to an idlers group ideals, then avoid that group like a plague. Avoid groups that conflict with your value system and goals in life."
thats my best part...
and i soon realised that the world will not end if you avoid them.. really!! it doesnt... you just get better at what you want to achieve!!the beauty of DIFFERENCE!!!

A good way to break out of conformity is to get out your usual circle of groups and events and go somewhere different to where you usually go. For example if you are conservative religious person, then go to a hardcore rock concert, or vice verse, if you have never been to a church service, then do so.

Of course you won't feel comfortable and it will seem foreign to you. But it will be good for your mind. You will see how other people think and act differently to you. You may not agree, but you will learn.

I have done this for many years now, and I have learned a lot about others and myself through this activity. I have met some interesting people, and even made a friend or two.

The real power of this activity is that it highlights how you have been conforming to a set of norms that you have taken for granted. Something similar happens when people travel overseas and experience different cultures. It opens their eyes to 'other ways', and highlights their own cultural norms.

conformity i reckon its a balance like yu have to do it n at the same time not doin it gives you an edge, know what i mean? like you said that if e dont conform we break the cycle and become diffrent, well g you got to realise that t the same time you got to conform at the same time you dont do it you become wierd.

this is because the line between wierd and diffrent is really thin, thats if there is any in the first place.

am i makin sence? or am just conforming? ha!

KUDOS.This is mighty blessing to be filled with such wise and inspiring words.Let those with ears percieve this and they will be transformed rather than conform. You can not walk with chicken yet you want to sour like an eagle.

Romans 12:1
The Bible also speaks about this...urges us not to conform to the world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds...I'd rather transform rather than conform..

Purple Cow analogy so on point...I cud relate to that..I hate ordinary and mundane..

Thanks Dan..
