Why Unclench and Release Negative Emotions?

I recently saw two old ladies fighting. The smaller lady told the big one: “unclench your buttocks and release the bitterness”. It got me thinking, we need to unclench our negative emotions in order to enjoy success and prosperity. We need to release the emotions of fear, anger, insecurity, anxiety and many other negative emotions. Let freedom ring in your heart today. Unclench, release and be free of negative emotions my friend.

Like clutter in the house, negative emotions take up space and are not attractive. The purpose of this blog is to inspire you to be the best you can be. To be the best you need to get rid of negative emotions. Today we look at various classes of negative emotions, their effects and how to get rid of them.

Dignity and Self Respect

There are many negative emotions associated with dignity and self esteem. If you feel that people have disrespected you or unjustly criticized you, you need to forgive and let go of the anger. Do not give much airtime in your mind to people who disrespect you or insult you. Carrying the emotions of inferiority and insults will hurt your self confidence. Do not feel worthless because someone disrespected you. Understand your own value, love yourself and do not let anyone mock you or humiliate you.

Loss of dignity and self respect reduce the quality of life and prevents us from forming healthy relationships. Seek to transform negative emotions such as criticism and disrespect into positives.

Freedom and Control

To succeed in life, you need to be in control of your destiny. You need to be free to do what your heart desires without being bossed around or being emotionally manipulated by others. If you have feelings of restriction, inhibition, entrapment, and powerlessness you need to focus more on regaining your freedom and control of your life.

Emotional blackmail, entrapment and powerlessness lead to rebellion. You need to be able to spot the signs and get rid of circumstances that rob you of your freedom and control.

Love and Connection

 We all have the need to be loved and to connect with others. You may feel lonely or deprived of deep and meaningful connection with others. You may feel abandoned, ignored, invisible or insignificant. The trick is to understand yourself and not look for validation from outside but from within.

Do not be discouraged, find your passion and do what you love. Attract like minded fellows and form bonds of friendships with them. Seek to understand others then to be understood, not the other way round. Support others and they will in turn support you. Get rid of feelings of rejection by accepting yourself and others.

Reach out to others and care for others. Give and it will come back to you. Love and you will be loved back. Forgive and you will find forgiveness. Make other people feel good about themselves. Be slow to criticize and quick to complement.

Truth and Justice

We all seek the truth and fairness. Emotions of being lied to or getting a raw deal are negative and manifest themselves in many areas of life. Nobody wants to be lied to, falsely accused or misled. Surround yourself with positive people who will not lead you on the wrong path.

Safety and Trust

The fear of betrayal is a negative emotion that can be expensive and detrimental to human relationships. If you find yourself overly guarded or skeptical, it may be an indication that you are untrusting or suspicious about the intentions of others. These are negative emotions that may be a sign that you need to re-evaluate your relationships or change your attitude.

Summary

 There are many negative emotions that relate to dignity, freedom, love, truth and safety. To be able to enjoy success we must get rid of negative emotions. Negative emotions are toxic. They can poison the bearer, friends and family. Getting rid of negative emotions one by one is a worthwhile exercise.
