Of everything ive read, i’ll remember the poem. another is..’ your dominat thoughts become your pet topics, and your pet topics influence people’s perception of you…and you are treated as you are perceived…..so so true, we may seek to deny that alot of people are vain bu they are, people don’t waste time being around those that don’t bring value to them, thats why they’ll pay thousands to watch a movie over and over again or attend a seminar

Believe on communication skills, its vital to be a good listener where you not only listen to what one is saying but also if what they are saying matches their body language. You get to learn alot about the person you are communicating with.

Thanks for reminding us that ordinary doesnt sell anymore, we should strive to step out of a comfort zone, and rise above the norm. Stretching to a higher notch i what makes great inventors, leaders, and great successfull people in general. Great article.

I dont really have a practical example of how to become a purple cow, but i do like the point about expertise. I think the one piece of advice that is not adequately conveyed to Kenyan kids growing up is the need to be individuals and pursue diverse careers lines. Our teachers & parents always said “study hard so you can become a teacher, a lawyer or a doctor” anything that did not conform to the mainstream careers was always met with “you’ll never find a job if you do that”. That is why we have serious problems because the core value instilled on kids is ‘do what will make you the most money’ instead of ‘you can be successful in whatever you choose to become’. Daniel, I think this blog is doing a great job of inspiring us all to be different, avoid conformity and stand out!
